Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering Information Session
The National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Science (Biomedical Engineering), also known as MSc (Biomedical Engineering), is offered by the NUS College of Design and Engineering.

The MSc (Biomedical Engineering) programme aims to nurture holistic engineers in healthcare technology development and healthcare.

With the growing demand for healthcare innovation in recent years as well as the projected long-term prominence of healthcare issues in our aging society, biomedical engineers play crucial roles in the expanding healthcare sector. For example, in times of a pandemic, biomedical engineers contribute to all aspects of tackling the disease, including detection, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, monitoring and surveillance.

Biomedical Engineering integrates the principles of engineering disciplines with biomedical sciences to foster new knowledge and create new innovations in technologies and applications to enhance the quality of healthcare. Biomedical engineers develop new medical technology and biotechnology through cutting-edge research to advance medical care and scientific discovery in the biomedical sciences.

• Develop systems and design thinking skills, as well as an array of soft skills needed to work effectively with management, clinicians, healthcare workers, regulatory bodies and other engineers in multidisciplinary environments.

• Build and apply technical knowledge in Biomedical Engineering, learning from faculty who are award-winning educators, innovators and researchers.

• Make an impact in the industry through a programme whose faculty and alumni have established more than 15 start-ups in the biomedical-engineering-related space.

Applications for the August 2023 Intake of the Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering postgraduate degree programme will be open from 1 Dec 2022–31 Mar 2023
