Master of Science in Energy Systems Information Session
The National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Systems, is offered by the NUS College of Design and Engineering.

The MSc in Energy Systems programme is a unique combination of engineering and technology management to meet current and near-future energy development needs in Singapore, Asia and worldwide.

The programme will equip students with holistic and foundational knowledge in energy technology and innovation management, facilitate decision-making in energy solutions and investment through quantitative and qualitative methods.
There is an urgency for the world to move away from a fossil-fuel-based energy sector, so as to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming (which in turn leads to climate change and rising sea levels). This is a complex problem requiring a multi-disciplinary and more holistic approach to address the current gap in energy education and training.

Through this programme, students will:

• Understand the principles of energy technologies such as solar, hydrogen, carbon storage and utilisation

• Comprehend the economic, legislative, political and societal influence on energy use and its management

• Manage research and development as well as innovation in energy technologies

Why this Programme?

• Be assured of a quality education from the university whose Engineering courses have been ranked top in Asia and top ten across the world.*

• Enjoy a vibrant international learning environment, with more than 40 faculty members and 200 research scholars from around the world.

• Tap into cutting-edge research to keep informed about the latest developments and innovations in the field.

Applications for the August 2023 Intake of the Master of Science in Energy Systems postgraduate degree programme will be open from 1 Dec 2022–31 Mar 2023
